Evacuation by helicopter are not free in Switzerland and in 2019 we had to resque one runner which costs him $7000. The race organization will make the choice of evacuation of an injured runner. For that reason we highly recommend that each race participant should have personal accident insurance sufficient to cover the cost of search and rescue Switzerland. The insurance policy must be valid at least for the duration of the race.Have more questions?
