Course Info 100KM

You're thinking 50KM is a bit too short and 160KM is a bit too long. So the 100KM will fit you nicely but don't underestimate the course. With a total elevation gain of 6'250 meters you will be tested along the course.

Along your journey you will be enjoy incredible views like running along the Aletsch Glacier, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage, and traversing over the 160 meter (524 feet) Aspi-Titter suspension bridge and the 280 meter (918 feet) suspension bridge Mühlebach-Fürgangen .

The most challenging part is, perhaps, the prudal 5.3km (3.2 miles) and 1127 meter (3697 feet) uphill after the Binn aid station going on top of the Breithorn.

Finisher will receive a beautiful 9cm (3.5 inches) medal. We also give out female/male age group awards (18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). See the race weekend schedule page for the check-in and race starting times. The overall cutoff-time is 27 hours and there are 10 fully stocked aid stations. Finishers earned a Western States 100 qualifier if finished in 22 hour or less.

Pacer: 100km runners are allowed to have a pacer starting at the Reckingen aid station all the way to the finish line. They can drop/change pacers at the Blitzingen, Chäserstatt, Binn, and Mühlebach aid stations. Only one pacer can run along the runner at any given time. Pacers do not need a pacer bib and they are allowed to drink/eat at all the aid stations.

Drop Bags: Runners have to have one drop bag for each location they want to have one. We do not transport drop bags from one aid station to another.

Cutoff Times: Runners must have left the aid station at the cutoff times. If the cutoff time is, for example, Sat 16:00 runners who are still there at Sat 16:01 are not allowed to move on.
