We at the Swiss Alps 100 are passionate about promoting the sport of running to our next generation. For that reason are we offering a free 1km run for up to 100 kids 4 to 13 years old sponsored by the Walliser Kantonalbank. Every child is receiving a bib before the start and a medal at the finish plus a free meal and drink. The kids course is run entirely within the very safe Sport Resort area and we have safety personnel placed all along the entire course. Bring your children and cheer them on at the start and when they are finishing for an unforgettable day.
If our runners can run as far as 160km why not let them fly too. We are very excited about being the first ultrarunning event to offer a fly division. Fly participants can choose between the Challenge-Race (10 hour cutoff) and Pro-Race (24 hour cutoff) option. The ranking list is based on categories. In it according to points collected. If the number of points is equal, the time goes ahead.
Are you a runner, who loves to run uphill? Then the vertical distance, which is 10.3 km long, has a total elevation gain of 1'830 meters, 1 full stocked aid station, and a 4 hour cutoff time, will satisfy that uphill need. Starting in Fiesch you keep going to the finish line on top of Eggishorn at 2'867 meter above sea level. There you will receive your hard-earned finisher medal and you can enjoy a 360 degree view of the majestic Swiss Alps including the Matterhorn and the Aletsch Glacier. When you ready take the free gondola ride back to Fiesch and a 1km walk back to the start/finish line.
